Meet the AI Assistant in MYOB Acumatica

What if you could ask your ERP a question the same way you'd ask a colleague? With the AI Assistant in MYOB Acumatica, you can. Type a question in plain English, such as "Who are my top customers this quarter?", and get an answer drawn from your live business data, without building a report or exporting to Excel.

What is the AI Assistant?

The AI Assistant is a conversational helper built directly into MYOB Acumatica. You ask questions in plain language about your revenue, customers, invoices, inventory and financial performance, and it responds with answers based on your live data.

Not sure where to start? You can pick from a set of ready-made prompts instead of typing your own.

Because it's built in rather than bolted on, there's no separate app to log in to and no data to copy elsewhere. It works within the same platform you already use every day.

Why it matters for your team:

Less time hunting for numbers. Get a quick answer without navigating several screens or waiting on a report.
Better visibility. Staff who don't build reports can still get the information they need.
Faster decisions. Answers come from current data, so you're not working from last month's export.

Questions you could ask

Here are a few examples of the kinds of everyday questions the AI Assistant is designed for:

Revenue: "What was our revenue last month compared with the month before?"
Customers: "Who are our top 10 customers by sales this financial year?"
Invoices: "Which customer invoices are overdue by more than 30 days?"
Inventory: "Which items are running low on stock?"
Financial performance: "How is our gross margin tracking this quarter?"

Tip: Be specific about time periods and what you want compared. The clearer the question, the more useful the answer.

Is my data safe?

It's the first question most clients ask, and MYOB has been clear on the answers:

Your permissions still apply. The AI works inside your existing MYOB Acumatica environment and respects current user permissions, access controls and governance settings. Staff only see answers drawn from data they're already allowed to access.
Your data isn't used to train AI models. Customer data is not used to train external AI models.
Your data is stored in Australia. Customer data, business context and conversation history stay within the Acumatica platform and are stored in Australia.
Trusted providers. MYOB's AI is powered by AWS and Anthropic. Some AI features process data in Australia, while others use global enterprise AI infrastructure from Anthropic, AWS and Microsoft. MYOB states these providers can process data to generate responses but cannot store it or use it for training.

More AI features in MYOB Acumatica

The AI Assistant is one part of a growing range of AI features that MYOB says will keep expanding through its product roadmap. Some are tailored to specific industries and processes.

AP Bill Entry	Automates accounts payable bill processing, including reading incoming invoices
Expense Management	Captures receipts in the mobile app, scans tax invoices and auto-fills expense forms

Getting started

AI Assistant access began on 20 October 2026 for existing customers who upgraded to 26.1.200 between 1 and 19 October. Future upgrade cohorts will receive access 24 hours after upgrading.
